DIY Facial Mask for Acne-Prone Skin

 In Fashion + Beauty

Happy Monday, Beauties!

I’m super excited to share with you an easy and quick DIY facial mask that I found on Pinterest!

DIY Facial Mask

I didn’t create this concoction but why wouldn’t I share a beauty find. My skin is doing pretty well, a few pimples but nothing major. After all the acne though, I now have a shit ton of scarring left behind. So as I was scrolling through Pinterest one late, late night, I came across this DIY facial mask.

Facial mask recipe

◊ 1 tbsp honey

◊ 1 tbsp lemon juice

◊ 1 tbsp ground nutmeg

◊ 1 tbsp powdered cinnamon

Mix up all the ingredients and apply directly on to the cleansed affected areas. If you have extra sensitive skin, I’d apply a small amount first just to see if you have a reaction to the ingredients. I left this mask on for approximately 20 minutes. I rinsed it off in circular motions and then continued on with my regular skincare routine.

When I first applied this facial mask, I noticed tingling sensations, nothing painful but you know it’s at work. After rinsing it off in circular motions, it’s also like a natural exfoliator, my skin was pretty smooth.

Like many facial masks, you need to do it consistently enough to see a difference in your skin. But what’s amazing about this mask is that it is cheap! You most likely have the ingredients, so why not use it to your advantage, not just in the kitchen.

Do you have any favorite DIY facial masks? Share them with me please 🙂

Thank you for checking out my post!
