Monday Facial Mask for Acne-Prone Skin

 In Fashion + Beauty

With a hectic schedule the past couple of weeks, I’ve neglected my Monday mask ritual. But I’m back and  happy to get into my routine, especially with my acne-prone skin acting up again.

 Skin Update

Due to the amount of traveling and simply not taking care of myself, my skin is HORRIBLE. I’ve faced this issue more than I can count but with my grandfather passing away, it was inevitable. Stress is a killer, mixed in with  bad eating and a lack of consistent care, it’s a recipe for disaster.

It is getting better though, as usual. My skin is high maintenance, anyone else? and requires attention EVERY SINGLE DAY! The moment I skip a day in my routine, I break out even worse than before.

I did give in to finally seeing a dermatologist again. I’m hoping to get better tips and understanding of my body. I’ll keep you all posted on what I learn.

Mask for acne-prone skin

You all know how much I love facial masks and my “me time” on Mondays! I try to have “me time” throughout the week but Mondays are it, no questions asked. It’s non-negotiable with my husband 🙂

This week’s facial masks are by Studio 35, a new brand I just discovered at Walgreens. They have a range of products from peel off mask, sheet masks, and creams. I was at Walgreens to pick up Liam’s prescriptions but I couldn’t resist checking out the beauty section. I’m a sucker for anything skin-related so when I saw these masks, I didn’t think twice.

Acne-Prone Skin

Yep, I picked up four. I couldn’t help myself.

The one I’ve tried so far is the Moisturizing Cream Sheet with Goat Milk and Chamomile. Not going to lie, I thought I was going to absolutely hate it,  I don’t. It did exactly what intends to do: hydrates skin without leaving sticky residue. It left my skin feeling refreshed and the chamomile added more calmness into my at-home spa time.

The ONLY downside of this mask, and it’s a preference, is that it’s a sheet mask. I prefer to just apply the product directly onto my face rather than on a sheet, plus I can never get the sheet to stick on properly, annoying! IF this product wasn’t a sheet mask, I would probably have a bigger affect on my skin.

However, I can get past the sheet mask dilemma and would repurchase the product for variety. Who can complain about at-home spa time with a mask, a glass of sparkling water, and no baby? NOT ME.

If you’re looking for a new mask or want to try the mixture of goat milk and  chamomile, head over to your nearest Walgreens and check it out!

As always please comment your favorite facial masks, if you have any that you highly recommend!

If you try this brand out, let me know how you feel!

I love sheet mask! To me it’s a lot less messy, but sometimes getting it fit right is a b$&?%

Haha YES! I guess that’s why I don like them too much!
