My 2017 Planner
Organization is in and chaos is out! That’s why for the past couple of years I’ve been into planning out my weeks using a planner. I’ve used super cheap planners from Target to the popular Erin Condren planners. But I can’t justify paying $60 plus on a planner anymore.
A couple of months ago, I won a giveaway with PinkimonoGirl and luckily, a planner was included. Thanks girl!! 🙂 So I finished up the year using my Erin Condren planner and began using the Heidi Swapp Memory Planner Kit.
How gorgeous is this Heidi Swapp planner? I’m absolutely in love with the gold foil stripes look, clearly perfect to start off the new year. Of course I did some investigating, just to compare prices out there. This beauty is ONLY $20.99 right now, it’s usually $29.99, I could have bought 3 of these for the price I paid for my Erin Condren!!! Crazy!
Side note: I LOVE my last planner but my priorities have shifted and every single dime I have, I spend strategically now that I have a little human to feed.
I’m not here to tell you how to spend your money but I am here to share you the options you have! If you have a local Michaels near you, head on over and check out the daily planner sections. There are so many options from colors to sizes and you can even customize your pages to your liking.
My 2017 planner will be my best friend and it will be with me everywhere I go. So every Sunday, I’ll be dedicating some time to plan out my entire week from workouts, food, social media posts, tutoring sessions, events/meetings, and blogging. I don’t expect my entire week to go as planned but having a visual on what needs to get done will help me accomplish them. Once I became a mom, I’ve been even more forgetful. Sometimes I even have to put an alarm on to remind me to eat lunch, NOT KIDDING.
Aside from the obvious planner, some of my necessary planning essentials are:
♦ Laptop for some weekly inspiration
♦ “To Do” Notepad
♦ Colored pens for coding purposes
♦ Coffee
♦ Google Home for some music 🙂
♦ Bathrobe because comfort is key
So if you’ve been on the fence to start planning but don’t want to spend too much money, I highly suggest purchasing the Heidi Swapp planner. What I LOVE about them, other than their style is that each week is customizable. So, if for some reason, I’m unable to or purely lazy and don’t plan my week, no page ever goes wasted. Most planners come with the dates already filled out for you but NOT this one, which is great!
Michaels also has super cute stickers, which I’ll be purchasing. to make planning easier and fun. So make sure you check those out too!
Hope you all have a great weekend, what are your plans? Comment below 🙂
